Do you remember “Spiritual High” – the Chrissie Hynde “State Of Independence” mash-up with Martin Luther King, Jr.s’ “I Have A Dream” speech from Moodswings’ 1992 “Moodfood” album? Part II starts about 4:44:

The musician behind that project is the ultra-talented James Hood (with his 2017 MESMERICA album, Hood played every single instrument and this man has a magnificent, chill groove that emphasizes being uplifted) and he has a brand-new epic immersive “audio/visual overload” experience: Beautifica.

It’s a one-hour OMNIMAX meditative journey – through worlds real and imagined – set to his newest music (Apple, Amazon) released just three days ago and 360° all-encompassing, euphoric/fantastical visuals.

It plays only on weekend nights through January, 2023 (though may be extended to February or beyond) in San Diego at the Fleet Science Center’s IMAX Dome (OMNIMAX) theater in Balboa Park, as well as in Boulder, Cleveland, Houston, Oakland, Phoenix, and Portland.

For an extra $10 (VIP ticket), you can also get the digital download of the album – it’ll be worth it. I did that with his first show MESMERICA and had my massage therapist play it exclusively for two years!
